The bag I have been crocheting from this pattern is complete! Took me about a week and a half to finish it.
I may or may not add some accents to the bag. We will see.
I started the baby earflap hat I mentioned in my last post, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to properly join circular rounds with a slip stitch while making a hat. It was turning out very wonky and unattractive. I took the whole thing apart and am just scrapping the project for now.
Onto making more granny squares for the blanket!

Working on stuff, just constantly crocheting...
Over the past two weeks or so, I have began and then proceeded to unravel several things I crocheted. I started to get into the idea of crocheting a necklace, so I used a motif from this book, and then made two chains to make some nice ties for the back of the necklace. It was beautiful and I wore it everyday, but then I forgot to grab it as I was leaving Anchorage and coming back to Fairbanks. It is the only thing I forgot! I can make another one, but I need a smaller crochet hook, which I borrowed from my sister to make the original necklace at the time.
After the necklace completion I then moved on to make this amigurumi using yet another pattern from the Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful book.
Currently I am working on a baby hat from this pattern. I thought that the earflaps were very cute and I also had thoughts about adding on some bear ears to the hat. I have so much leftover pink and cream yarn that I used for the baby pullover AND both amigurumis I have done, that I could totally make two more hats. Too bad I throw away the packaging to yarn everytime, now I don't remember what brand it was so I can buy more. >_O

My first amigurumi!
Just finished crocheting my first attempt at making an amigurumi! I made it from the pattern entitled "bunny in a dress" from the book Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful. The only thing that I omitted was making the dress. I like how it turned out!

I finally finished it, after weeks and weeks of procrastinating! I am so happy about it and feel so accomplished.
Okay now onto other crafts. ^_^

Sidetracked yet semi-productive.
Yesterday evening I finished a hat made from this pattern. I used acrylic worsted weight yarn and used a K hook to crochet it. I really like it, but I don't think this yarn was the best choice.
Last night I started a crochet square that I found a pattern for in the Feb/March issue of Bust magazine. I think they are very cute. Here is mine. The dark color in it is purple.
I don't have enough yarn to complete an entire blanket, but I hope to get a hold of some soon. They are pretty basic colors. What I really need to be doing, though, is finishing a baby pullover that I started nearly a month ago! I've been procrastinating big time on that once I got to the sleeves.

Coaster!
Last night I crocheted this awesome blue thread yarn coaster. I made it from this pattern. I totally want to make about 5 more.
I need to really stop project jumping! Finish what I start... must remember this...

It is finished!
Here it is, my first ever crocheted hat! I am happy that it turned out so well and looks so pretty. The original pattern called for only doing the ruffle halfway, but I decided to do the ruffle all the way around, and I only added one flower instead of two. I can't wait to put it on her! I am also going to make one in a bigger size for when she grows. ^__^
I crocheted it while taking a break from the Ten Stitch Twist blanket. It was getting too repetitive so I had to do something different that was fast to finish.

Piles of projects...
There are a ton of things I want to do craft-wise, as usual. So many that I have a hard time even finishing one thing. I was working on crocheting baby pullover but then I stopped when it got to the sleeves, mainly because I am still very new to crochet and got a little confused without my crochet master sister there to tell me how to increase. Then I started working on my first crocheted hat, a baby hat, but I didn't like how the pattern was turning out, so I unraveled all of my progress and I had been crocheting all day. Now I finally settled on a spiraled blanket knit pattern (six years familiar with knitting!) called Ten Stitch Twist on raverly.com. It's an awesome website and I can just spend hours sifting through patterns.
Aside from yarn-related projects, my friend inspired me to make paper-crane decorations to hang, because she is doing the same thing. She said that she is over halfway with making 1000 cranes. Should have asked her how long that took. Also I would like to start making collages again. I used to do that all the time when I was a lot younger, but stopped and let writing and drawing take over. I miss it.
I also would like to make spiraled coasters, spiraled placemats, spiraled throws, but first I will finish this spiraled blanket, and all the other projects I never finished.
